Job Overview
The Part-Time Content Creator helps capture, create, and distribute engaging digital content that supports Metro’s mission of reaching people and communicating the message of Jesus. This role focuses on weekend content capture, weekly social media execution, and video/graphic production to enhance Metro’s online presence and guest engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties
Weekend Content Capture & Storytelling
- Capture photo and video content during weekend services (worship, message, lobby, baptisms, guest experience, events)
- Film sermon content
- Capture worship moments for future use
- Post real-time social media stories (Instagram/Facebook), including: invite videos, worship clips, message highlights, and guest experience moments
- Help tell the story of what God is doing at Metro through visual content
Weekly Content Production & Social Media
- Upload weekly messages to YouTube and create thumbnails
- Produce and publish: Weekend recap content (photo carousels or video), message clips (sermon highlights), worship clips
- Create graphics and videos for: weekend invites, scripture posts, and testimony clips
- Maintain a consistent, high-quality social media presence across platforms
Video Editing & Creative Support
- Edit video content using tools like DaVinci Resolve (or similar)
- Assist in planning and executing video shoots
- Collaborate with the Video Director on marketing and weekend-related content
- Support additional creative projects as needed
Content Coordination & Organization
- Schedule and coordinate the photo team via Planning Center
- Organize and distribute weekly content folders
- Communicate deliverables clearly with the Communications Director
- Maintain organized file management and workflow systems
Qualifications
- Experience in photography, videography, and video editing
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
- Ability to tell compelling stories through visual content
- Strong attention to detail (editing, captions, spelling, quality control)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve (or similar editing software)
- Basic graphic design skills
- Understanding of the church ministry context and culture

Schedule & Commitment
- Part-Time (30 hours/week)
- Requires availability on weekends (services and events)\
