What is an adult small group?
Groups of 4 to 12 adults meeting in homes (and restaurants), offering a safe environment for spiritual seekers and growing Christ-followers to experience spiritual growth, relational support and lasting life-change!
What is the current topic of study?
Every small group studies the same topic. Our studies are based upon the weekend messages. Studies center on understanding biblical principles and practical ways to integrate them into daily living.
Who can attend?
Everyone! Members, attenders, Christ-followers and spiritual seekers! Most of our groups are mixed groups (open to men, women, married and single). We also have men’s groups, women’s groups, and single’s groups. Childcare is provided at most groups.
Will I feel intimidated by my lack of Bible knowledge?
Not at all! Our groups are designed to be a safe place for people who are taking steps to investigate Christianity. You can ask questions, share your opinions and experiences, or just listen as others share.
What happens in a group?
Each study addresses a relevant issue that centers on a Biblical principle. Studies are discussion-oriented rather than lecture-driven and have a practical, life-application focus. Study guides are provided for participants each week.
Where do the groups meet?
We have over 60 groups meeting in homes all over the area! Collinsville, Edwardsville, Glen Carbon, Granite City, Greenville, Hamel, Holiday Shores, Maryville, Moro, Mt. Olive, Shobonier, Staunton, Troy, and Vandalia.
When do the groups meet?
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings with some groups meeting during the day.
Why should I attend an adult small group?
We were designed by God to live in relationship with others. Positive life-change happens best when we are surrounded by friends who support, encourage and challenge us. Small groups will help you feel like you belong in the Metro family.
How can I find out more?
You can stop by the Connection Center (next to the Café) before or after a weekend service to get a complete list of small groups with detailed information, maps and meet some small group leaders.
